Doron Kuipers won the Zegwaard Rioolontstopping Prijs at\nJumping Amsterdam this afternoon. Kuipers kept a cool head and stayed clear in\na time of 54.30 seconds. The Dutchman rode in the 1.40m class immediately on\ntime with the 10-year-old KWPN’er Fabulous (f. Harley VDL). Kuipers brought Jos\nVerlooy to the second place. The Belgian was 2.80 seconds slower than Kuipers\nand rode the 10-year-old KWPN’er Fabregas (f. Zambesi). Eric van der Vleuten\nmade the top three with the 10-year-old BWPN’er Kamara van’t Heike (f. Epleaser\nvan’t Heike). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kuipers: ”My ride went very well and as planned. I wanted a\nsmooth round and didn’t think I would be so fast when I crossed the finish\nline. I had my mind set on this test, because I have a very fast and careful\nhorse”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He’s a very sensitive horse and he knows exactly what\nto do in the ring. When my groom started braiding him, she had to wake him up,\nbecause he was stretched out in his stable. When I sit on him, the button goes\non. So that’s ideal,” says Kuipers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s fun to ride at Jumping Amsterdam. All\n5*-competitions are nice competitions. If it is in your own country, it gives\nsome extra’s. The public also participated well in this section and that\ncreates a good atmosphere. That gives me the extra motivation to do even\nbetter”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
