The always combative Italian stayed clear in the 1.40 m direct in time and was lightning fast. His time of 55.95 seconds was enough for the win. Frank Schuttert with Irish Coffee PR tried to beat the Italian, but was 0.39 seconds short. Harrie Smolders finished third with Escape Z (by Emerald). He also kept the slate clean, finishing in 61.25 seconds.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;I&#8217;ve been riding Vasco since he was five&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emanuele started the 1.40m with a plan. &#8221;There were not so many fast combinations. That&#8217;s because many riders and amazons were using this course as training for tomorrow&#8217;s competition. I did try to be fast and that worked out well. Vasco is still quite a young horse, but last year I already won several competitions with him. He finished in front in several Grand Prix at the 3* level. I have been riding Vasco since he was five years old.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2020 successful edition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was not the first time the Italian show jumper participated in Jumping Amsterdam. &#8221;In 2020 I had a successful competition here, I won two classes. It&#8217;s always very nice to ride at a Dutch competition.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year the European Championships will be held in Italy. &#8220;For us that is very important, not only because it is home, but also because we are going to try to qualify as a team for the Olympics in Paris in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training young horses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emanuele Gaudiano wins a lot of competitions. He does have an explanation for this. &#8221;Riding very fast and staying zero, then it often works out. Very important is that you have good young horses every time. I work together with Paul Schockem\u00f6hle, who also bred Vasco. From Paul I regularly get new talents in my stable. I start with them at a young age and then train them. That way you are always working on your future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
