She remained faultless in the seven-horse jump-off and set a top time of 28.97 seconds. Ricardo Reinert and Magda were unable to match this. They were 0.18 seconds slower in the jump-off and finished in second place. Julia Kapteijn took third place with the ten-year-old KWPN horse Le Cornet Gumo MP (by Cornet Obolensky). They remained clear in the jump-off and finished in 32.57 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHe takes control and sees where he needs to go.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Iza Venhoven: &#8220;Comistrade was very sharp in the basic course. When you enter the ring, there is a huge entourage, but he didn&#8217;t care. When I started the jump-off, I thought we could win this. He tried his very best; the more pressure and craziness, the better he gets. When we&#8217;re in the jump-off, he already knows this. He takes control and sees where he needs to go. Then he performs so well. He&#8217;s a very special horse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>All or nothing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI saw a number of riders compete in the jump-off before me, and there were some fast horses among them. I went in with the mindset: It&#8217;s all or nothing! I&#8217;d rather make a mistake when you go for it than make a mistake when you haven&#8217;t gone all out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Practicing for Jumping Amsterdam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI rode the selection competition in Saasveld and Exloo in the 1.30m class. In Exloo, the course was more difficult than in Saasveld and I had one fault, but we won the competition in Saasveld. There was also a jump-off there, so I was able to practice a little for Amsterdam. This gave me an idea of what I could ask of him here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHe makes it all look so easy\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve had Comistrade since he was three years old and I trained him myself. He&#8217;s always been a horse with a good forward movement. He makes it all look so easy. The 1.10m, 1.20m, and 1.30m were all easy for him. He feels like a horse with a future. He has a great character and is super sweet. It&#8217;s wonderful to have him in the stable, so he&#8217;s staying. After Amsterdam, he will get some time off because he has been working very hard lately. I do plan to start competing at 1.40m and 1.50m with him. I think it would be great to reach the top with him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cDream of riding at Jumping Amsterdam\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it&#8217;s a wonderful experience to ride at Jumping Amsterdam. It&#8217;s my first time. I like that they organize these national classes, so that the lower levels also have the opportunity to participate.
