Sold out Saturday evening at Jumping Amsterdam: farewell to Sterrehof’s Dante, extra tickets released

During the sold out Saturday evening of Jumping Amsterdam, Marc Houtzager will officially bid farewell to his sport partner Sterrehof’s Dante, the horse with whom he achieved milestones that have earned a lasting place in Dutch showjumping history. The farewell will take place in the arena of the RAI, in front of a full grandstand and an audience that has embraced this combination over the years.

With victories in the Amsterdam World Cup in 2020 and 2025, Houtzager and Sterrehof’s Dante wrote history together. “Sterrehof’s Dante is a horse that always wanted to fight for me,” Houtzager has said. “In Amsterdam everything came together: the atmosphere, the crowd, the energy. It feels natural that he says goodbye here.” Reflecting on their successes in the capital, he added: “Winning the World Cup on home soil, in this arena, that stays with you for life.” About Dante’s retirement he said: “You know a day like this will come, but saying goodbye to a horse like Dante is something you only do once.”

Saturday evening at Jumping Amsterdam was already completely sold out. Due to the overwhelming demand, an additional section has been built on top of the grandstand. As a result, a limited number of extra tickets have now become available. This is the very last opportunity to witness this special sporting moment live. Tickets for the additional seats are available immediately in the ticket shop, while supplies last.
