Emanuele Gaudiano took his second victory this afternoon in the Marc Boers Flower Export prize with the 10-year-old Kingston van het Eikenhof ( f. Epleaser van’t Heike) in the RAI. It was a narrow victory for the Italian, who was followed by Doron Kuipers. The Dutchman was 0.01 seconds slower in the saddle of the KWPN’er Fabulous (f. Harley VDL). Agustin Covarrubias came third with the 13-year-old Larbraker (f. Larino). The Chilean finished in a time of 48.10 seconds.

Great that I win two tests here

Gaudiano: ”My trial went very well. I started at the end of the field and I was 0.01 seconds faster. Kingston jumped yesterday and today in Amsterdam. I think it’s great that I win two tests here. I can’t ask any more of my horse.”

Pause

“Kingston gets a break now and I’m not starting him at Jumping Amsterdam for the next few days. Tomorrow I will start a younger horse in the Provincie Noord-Holland price. Tomorrow my horse Chalou will compete for victory in the World Cup. Chalou is my best horse and has had a break after Jumping Mechelen. I think he has a good chance tomorrow,” said Gaudiano.

Leipzig

”Kingston ran a 1.50m section in Leipzig last week. This section did not go as planned. I started too fast, so I was out of control at the end of the course.”

More control

”I trained dressage at home after Leipzig, so I had more control. This was a good preparation for Jumping Amsterdam.”
