L’Année Hippique is the world’s number one equestrian yearbook. The first edition was published in 1943 and in 1988 the first L’Année Hippique Awards were presented to the riders. The winners were illustrious names: Pierre Durand, Nicole Uphoff, Mark Todd and IJsbrand Chardon.
In 2018 equestrian fans worldwide voted for the best riders online and Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen won the election for Best Dressage Rider. “The only way to get better is to try, fail and figure out how it should be done!” That is the philosophy of Daniel Bachmann Andersen. With that philosophy, a lot of talent and discipline, top training and the extra portion of feeling for horses he has taken part at the 2015 European Championships in Aachen with Loxana. Three years later he was a member of the Danish team at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon with Blue Hors Zack.

Congratulations! The Award is presented by Inge van der Net, producer of L’Année Hippique
