Edward Gal rode the stars from the sky in the Anemone Horse Trucks award at Jumping Amsterdam. Gal rode GLOCK’s Total US (f. Totilas) in the Intermediaire I Freestyle with music to a fantastic score of 80.458%. Kirsten Brouwer came second with 10-year-old Foundation RR (f. United) and her class was rated 77.375%. Madeleine Witte-Vrees completed the podium with the 10-year-old Finnländerin (f. Fidertanz). The class of Witte-Vrees produced 76.667%.
Gal: “This is a stopover to see how far he is in his training. I’m also looking at how he reacts in these kind of circumstances.”
“He made super pirouettes and beautiful appuyements. Normally he also makes good substitutions, but today he held a bit back. Actually he can do anything and that’s just great. On top of that he also looks beautiful,” says Gal.
“Total US is a lovely horse, but very sensitive. I noticed that on Thursday, because he reacted to everything from the environment. The horse needs time to get used to it.”
