Three-time series champion, Germany’s Marcus Ehning, scorched to victory with the brilliant 16-year-old gelding Pret A Tout at today’s sixth leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2019/2020 Western European League in Madrid, Spain.

Previously a winner at the Spanish fixture with Comme Il Faut in 2016, Ehning gave another of his master-classes of speed riding to pin compatriot Christian Ahlmann and his super-exciting nine-year-old, Dominator 2000 Z, into runner-up spot in a nine-horse jump-off that had spectators on the edges of their seat.

Pieter Devos, winner at the fifth leg in Stuttgart (GER) last month, steered Espoir into third place this time around. And the Belgian rider, who is now well-qualified for the Longines 2020 Final in Las Vegas (USA) next April, now lies top of the Western European League table ahead of the next leg at La Coruna (ESP) in two weeks’ time.

1. Pret A Tout (Marcus Ehning) GER 0/0 43.302.
2. Dominator 2000 Z (Christian Ahlmann) GER 0/0 43.533.
3. Espoir (Pieter Devos) BEL 0/0 43.66
