Germany’s Dorothee Schneider claimed maximum points with victory partnering DSP Sammy Davis Jr. at the fourth leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2019/2020 Western European League in Madrid, Spain today.

The double-Olympian and her 13-year-old gelding posted the top Freestyle score of 82.295, but the home supporters also had plenty to cheer about when Claudio Castilla Ruiz produced a superb ride from his Lusitano stallion Alcaide to line up second with a big mark of 80.230.

“He was very good in the Grand Prix yesterday, but in the beginning of the Freestyle today he felt really fresh and we made one mistake in the extended trot and then in the two-tempis”, Schneider said.

The Netherlands’ Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Zinardi finished third (78.350) and moved to the top of the Western European League table ahead of next weekend’s qualifier in Salzburg, Austria.
