Emanuele Gaudiano won the Heineken 0.0 prize at Jumping Amsterdam tonight. Gaudiano left all the beams in the second stage and finished in 26.48 seconds. Gaudiano was 0.17 seconds faster than the Frenchman Julien Epaillard, who appeared at the start with the 13-year-old Toupie de la Roque (by Kannan). Holly Smith took the third prize, Smith completed the course in 27.47 seconds with the 12-year-old KWPN’er Denver (f. Memphis).

“A good start at Jumping Amsterdam

Gaudiano: “My horse jumped very well in this two-phase category. I didn’t had so many options to turn short. I was fast enough to win this competition and I am very satisfied with my test. A good start at Jumping Amsterdam is hopefully a sign for the coming days”.

La Coruña

“I ride my horse for about a year and a half. He has already won several tests at 5* level. On December 15th we won the 1.50m class in La Coruña. I also tried to win here and that worked out well,” Gaudiano said.

Good preparation

“It’s nice that at Jumping Amsterdam there are also 5*-competitions. I could prepare myself well for the competition. The flooring is good and the audience is enthusiastic.”
