In the Meadowbrook Farms Prize at Jumping Amsterdam the Dutch Elize van de Mheen secured the victory. The rider was with the 12-year-old KWPN’er Dakota B (f. Calvaro Z) in the 1.40m class directly on time in the U25 and finished clear in 51.99 seconds. The Swedish Stella Röhlcke was 1.75 seconds slower than the Mheen and started the 12-year-old KWPN’er Delina (f. Verdi TN). Teddy van de Rijt rode her lap in 54.12 seconds and took the third place.

Rhythm

Van de Mheen: “I started on obstacle 1 with rhythm and that stayed in the whole test. I always tried to grab the most forward distance. I drove the lap on my own intuition and I listened to what my trainer told me”.

Special victory

The amazon is excited about her victory. “I like to win here, because the competition is in my homeland. It’s also special, because I’ve never won a prize here.

Reliable horse

“My horse is sweet and reliable. He helps me a lot. I didn’t expect to win, because my horse is not the fastest,” said van de Mheen.
