Jumping Amsterdam will celebrate its age of fifty this year. “We have a great history and it’s fantastic to look back to the past, to all memorable editions we have had”, director Titia Heijbrock states. Heijbrock continues: “It’s great to look back at the memorable winners Hans Günther Winkler, Paul and Alwin Schockemöhle, Nelson Pessoa, David Broome and Hugo Simon Amsterdam has celebrated. We have had emotional farewell scenes of incredible horses like Jumbo Design, Bonfire and De Sjiem. We have been able to celebrate Royal visits and the World Cup™ Final Dressage in 2006.

But it’s even better to look ahead to see what we have in mind to celebrate our edition number 50!”.What Jumping Amsterdam has in mind is to celebrate a variety of classes in which quality is decisive for Jumping Amsterdam.“Quality is decisive”, Heijbrock underlines. She is very happy with the program changes for the 2009 edition that are heartily welcomed by all international riders. No less than four show jumping classes will be counting for the FEI World Ranking List. The Prize money for dressage is higher than ever. And the 50th anniversary is highlighted by the London Mounted Metropolitan Police who will make it’s debut on the continent and help to celebrate the historical edition by showing their special Activity Ride. “I am looking forward to this edition and hope our audience is too!”, Titia Heijbrock says.
