“This Amsterdam Horseshow is made by us all. This great Horseshow in Amsterdam RAI deserves its place in the FEI calendar. I have no doubts the Amsterdam Horseshow will survive and even become stronger, as a lot of volunteers have heart for the show. As riders you feel you are most welcome and we all like to add something to this show, with his own open Amsterdam atmosphere.”

Those words from Franke Sloothaak are right from his heart. He was placed ex aequo third in the Saturday Night Six bar competition that was won by Dutch Jur Vrieling together with German Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst.Franke Sloothaak continues: “The Amsterdam RAI is a great venue and is very easy to be reached with horse vans and also by public transport. I also have noticed that the Amsterdam organisers make thoughts about an insured future by attracting new horsy crowds. They have scheduled new activities in the show program like polo and nice shows. For dressage Jumping Amsterdam is traditionally sold out. I’ll tell all my colleagues who don’t need more World Cup points in the jumping definitely to go to Amsterdam next year. Amsterdam has it all: a great venue, good programming, good facilities and a lot of volunteers who make you feel very welcome. That’s what we definitely need for a prosperous future of our sport!”
